Controlled Demolition
Hydraulic Bursting
Hydraulic bursting is a quiet and very effective method of controlled demolition and one of the safest, most efficient methods of removing reinforced, mass concrete, brickwork, or natural stone.
Bursters are placed in diamond drilled holes in pre-determined positions. They are then expanded to induce controlled cracking of the material. The process is repeated until the whole structure is fractured into smaller sections and ready for removal.
Concrete bursting is a safe method of breaking concrete, with minimal vibration, reducing the risk of HAVS and practically silent, making it perfect for projects with noise restrictions.
Hydraulic Crunching
Concrete crunching provides an efficient method for reducing concrete to rubble with no vibration, almost no noise and no water.
It is powered by hydraulics and is driven by either an electric or diesel/petrol engine. The C-shaped type has a piston that closes to crush the material. Jaws are applied to the free or open edge of the structure. Then hydraulic power forces the jaws to close crushing the concrete. The whole structure is removed by repeating this process.
